Carlos Algara graduated with a B.A. from The Technological Institute of Higher Education of Monterrey, Mexico. His first short film, The Intruder (2010), was released at the 13th Shanghai Int. Film Festival. It was also selected at the 41st Int. Film Festival of India and was awarded the "Silver Goat" at the 6th Monterrey Int. Film Festival. In March of 2011 him and fellow director, Alejandro Martinez-Beltran created the production company The Visualistas, in Los Angeles and Monterrey, Mexico. Their first collaboration, a short film called El firulete (2011), was screened at several festivals, including Warsaw Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, and Morelia Int. Film Festival, among others. In August 2012, Carlos graduated with a degree on Writing for Film and Television at the Vancouver Film School. In March 2015, him and fellow director, Alejandro Martinez-Beltran co-directed their first feature film called Veronica (2017) which is scheduled for theatrical release in Mexico in August, 2017. Throughout the second half of 2015, Carlos co-created the TV Series Blue Demon (2016) with partner Alejandro Martinez-Beltran.
